Teaching Artist, CARMEN CANCEL
Ace your audition by fully preparing your audition material under the guidance of teaching artist Carmen Cancél. Show your potential along with your own personal “it” factor by learning how to properly present yourself to an audition panel, how to engage your audience, and how to express the full meaning of the song’s text. You’ll gain confidence and poise by performing for a group of your peers on a weekly basis while Ms. Cancél uses her expertise to bring out the very best in your performance.
Additionally, as a group you will learn relaxation techniques and acting techniques that will help you present a winning audition. Ms. Cancél has performed on stages around the world and has coached teens who were accepted into prestigious programs at Cincinnati Conservatory, Boston Conservatory, Oberlin Conservatory, Mannes School of Music, Carnegie Mellon University, Elon University, NYU’s Tisch School, and Roosevelt University in Chicago.
