We love Singers Forum! However, Singers Forum is a not-for-profit arts and cultural organization, and, as with all arts non-profits in America, cannot fully support itself on earned income alone. Singers Forum relies on philanthropic support from friends, foundations, and government funding to carry out our mission. There are many ways you can help Singers Forum, and here are just a few suggestions. Singers Forum is a federally recognized 501(c)3 corporation and all donations are tax deductible.
Cash – these contributions are made directly to Singers Forum either by cash, check or credit card and can be designated to any one of our many programs or simply as general operating support. This type of support is critical to our day-to-day operations. It guarantees that our doors stay open and that Singers Forum runs smoothly while also providing critical programming support for Singers Forum’s outreach efforts.
Corporate Match/Volunteer Incentive Programs – this is an easy way for you to increase donations to Singers Forum! Most financial and technology firms as well as other for-profit companies match employee donations to non-profits dollar for dollar. Therefore, in effect, every dollar you give to Singers Forum would be doubled (and in some cases tripled, depending on company policy). Additionally, many large firms also reward their employees’ volunteer efforts by donating money to charities the employee supports as a volunteer. This is easily researched through your company’s intranet or Human Resources department. Securities – a charitable gift of appreciated stocks or bonds is an easy way to support Singers Forum while enjoying beneficial tax treatment. Singers Forum can then sell the securities and put the full value of your donation to work immediately. Please contact Singers Forum for specific account and transfer information. In Kind – Singers Forum is always in need of professional services that we would normally be unable to afford. If you or your company provides services such as computer programming, Internet design, legal services, graphic design, printing, messenger services, painting, photography, construction and maintenance, etc., we would be happy to speak to you about arranging an in-kind donation of those services.
Equipment – services are not the only thing that Singers Forum can utilize. We always need new equipment and products to make Singers Forum the best vocal academy possible. The list of items that we are currently in need of includes music stands, new computer equipment, cleaning supplies, office supplies and furniture, exercise mats, sound and lighting equipment and much more including those old music books you may be thinking of tossing.
